Chicago Bears wideout Rome Odunze and Cleveland Browns pass-catcher Denzel Boston both had solid games this weekend.

The Washington Huskies football program has several alumni that have been making an impact at the NFL level this season.

Two of the better receivers in the recent history of the Huskies both had stellar days for their respective teams over this weekend.

In a 27-24 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, Cleveland Browns wide receiver reeled in four passes for 89 yards, which included a 60-yard catch.

Boston was picked with the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft by the Browns being the focal receiver in UW's first two seasons under current head coach Jedd Fisch.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound wideout totaled 125 catches for 1,715 yards and 20 touchdowns from 2024-25 and was third-team All-Big Ten in '25.

In four games at the NFL level, Boston has pulled in 13 catches for 284 yards (10th in the NFL) and two touchdowns and is looking like an early candidate for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Boston emerged as the top target in Washington's offense after sitting behind talented wide receivers in the team's room under previous head coach Kalen DeBoer.

One of those talented receivers, Rome Odunze, had his own stellar night for the Chicago Bears.

In Chicago's 23-12 win against the New York Jets on Sunday, Odunze pulled in a team-high six catches on seven targets for 94 yards.

Odunze has totaled 14 receptions for 233 yards in his third year in the NFL.

The 6-foot-3, 214-pound wideout was selected by the Bears with the ninth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Odunze was the main target for current Atlanta Falcons Michael Penix Jr. from 2022-23, which saw UW make it to the College Football Playoff national championship game.

In those two seasons, Odunze caught 167 passes for 2,785 yards and 20 touchdowns. He was a two-time first-team All-Pac-12 selection both years and was a consensus All-American in '23, where he led the NCAA in receiving yards.

Since entering the NFL in 2024, Odunze has brought in 112 receptions on 211 targets for 1,628 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Both Cleveland and Chicago are currently in the thick of the playoff hunt this season. The Browns are 3-1 and on top of the AFC North and are on a three-game win streak.

The Bears are 3-1 and second in the NFC North, just behind the 4-0 Minnesota Vikings.

If the playoffs were to start today, Cleveland would be the No. 4 seed in the AFC and Chicago would be the No. 5 seed in the NFC. If either team is able to maintain its position and make the postseason, Odunze and Boston currently look like they'll be significant reasons why.
