The Washington Huskies football team has several high-caliber players currently representing the university in the NFL.

The Huskies have also ramped up their recruiting since Jedd Fisch was hired as head coach ahead of the 2024 season. The program landed the 12th-ranked 2026 recruiting class in the nation, which was a record for the highest-ranked crop of players in program history.

Washington is also in the midst of adding the finishing touches on the Class of 2027 recruits, and one of the players from that class and one of the best players in the recent history of the team recently linked up.

Former Huskies cornerback Trent McDuffie and current Class of '27 commit, linebacker Ethan Coach, recently linked up at what looked like a workout for the former.

McDuffie attended the same high school Coach currently attends, St. John Bosco in Bellflower, Calif.

McDuffie played for Washington from 2019-2021 and was an immediate impact player. He played in 13 games and started 11 as a true freshman in '19.

During his tenure with the Huskies, McDuffie earned All-Pac-12 selections twice (second-team in 2020 and first-team in 2021) and was a third-team All-American selection in '21.

McDuffie parlayed his successful college career to a successful NFL career.

McDuffie was selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.

The former Washington defensive back played with the Chiefs from '22-25, where he won two back-to-back Super Bowl championships in '22-23 and was named a first-team All-Pro ('23) and a second-team All-Pro ('24).

Following last season, McDuffie was traded to the Los Angeles Rams on March 11 and subsequently signed a four-year, $124 million contract ($31 million AAV), which made him the highest-paid defensive back in NFL history at the time of him signing the the long-term deal.

Coach committed to Washington on Feb. 12 and recently took his official visit to the Huskies on June 5. The three-star recruit is ranked as the 875th-best overall player, 74th-best linebacker and 70th-best player in California in the class, per the 247Sports composite.

Ethan Coach's twin brother and fellow '27 graduate, three-star linebacker Justin Coach, also committed to the Huskies.

Justin Coach is ranked as the 1,024th-best overall player, 91st-best linebacker and 77th-best player in California in the class, per the 247Sports composite.

The coach brothers comprise two of four linebackers committed to Washington in the '27 class. The other two players are three-star recruits Isaiah Leilula (Calif.) and Titus Osterman (Idaho).
