The Huskies football program will be well-represented in the Divisional Round

The Washington Huskies have had an influx of talent into National Football League over the last several years and many of those players will represent the program in the next round of the playoffs.

The Divisional Round begins Jan. 17 and many of the teams will have players who once suited up for the purple and gold.

Here's an overview of the 10 former Huskies competing in the postseason:

Rome Odunze, wide receiver, Chicago Bears

Odunze is one of the most recent standouts from the Washington program.

He played for the Huskies from 2020-23 and was the go-to target for quarterback Michael Penix Jr. during the team's College Football Playoff runner-up season in 2023.

Odunze was a two-time first-team All-Pac-12 selection from 2022-23, a consensus All-American in '23 and led the NCAA in receiving yards in '23.

Coleman Shelton, center, Los Angeles Rams

Shelton played for the Huskies from 2013-17. He was named second-team All-Pac-12 in '16 and first-team All-Pac-12 in '17. He's currently in the middle of his second stint with the Los Angeles Rams, which he won a Super Bowl with in 2021.

Taylor Rapp, safety, Buffalo Bills

Rapp suited up for Washington from '16-18, where he earned a litany of honors. He was the Pac-12 Defensive Freshman of the Year in '16, Freshman All-American in '16, second-team All-American in '17 and two-time first-team All-Pac-12 from '17-18.

He's currently on injured reserve with the Bills. He was teammates with Shelton during the Rams' Super Bowl-winning season in '21.

Keleki Latu, tight end, Buffalo Bills

Keleki Latu played one season with the Huskies in 2024 after two seasons with California in 2021-22 and a single season with Nevada in '23.

Latu reeled in 40 catches for 371 yards and a touchdown in his sole season in the Pacific Northwest.

Shaq Thompson, linebacker, Buffalo Bills

Thompson suited up in Montlake from '12-14, where he was highly-decorated and played linebacker, nickelback and running back.

Thompson was named a first-team All-American and first-team All-Pac-12 in '14. That same season, he won the Paul Hornung award. He was a first-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Jack Westover, fullback, New England Patriots

Westover suited up in the purple and gold from '18-23. He was originally a tight end but converted to fullback when he made the transition to the professional level. He was an undrafted free agent out of college and originally signed with the Seattle Seahawks before finding a role with the Patriots in '24.

Myles Bryant, cornerback, Houston Texans

Bryant played with Washington from '16-19. He was a three-time All-Pac-12 selection. He was named to the second-team twice and was honorable mention once. He appeared in 39 games in his college career and made 177 total tackles, intercepted four passes, registered 3.5 sacks and recovered three fumbles.

Luke Wattenberg, center, Denver Broncos

Wattenberg was with the Huskies from '16-21. He was picked in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos. He's carved out a role as the team's starting center, but he's currently on the injured reserve.

Kyler Gordon, cornerback, Chicago Bears

Gordon was another early-20s standout for Washington. He was on the team from '18-21. He was named first-team All-Pac-12 in '21 and was picked in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears.

Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, defensive end, Chicago Bears

Tryon-Shoyinka played four seasons for the Huskies from '17-20 and was a second-team All-Pac-12 selection in '19. He was a first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was traded to the Bears by the Cleveland Browns on Nov. 4, 2025, joining former Washington players Gordon and Odunze.
