The Washington Huskies football team is growing its pool of potential high-end 2027 recruits.
The Huskies are set to host several blue-chip prospects and other interested recruits at their junior day, which takes place March 7-8.
Several of the attendees at the junior day will be players who've already committed to Washington. There will also be several other Class of 2027 players the Huskies will look to make a good impression with.
One of those players Washington is looking to make headway in landing is four-star offensive lineman Lincoln Mageo.
Mageo announced the list of the seven final teams he's considering in a post on "X" on Wednesday. Included in that list was the Huskies. The other six teams the lineman is considering is UCLA, Texas, Utah, Arizona, Ohio State and Michigan.
Mageo, who's listed at 6-foot-4, 290 pounds, is ranked as the 29th-best interior offensive lineman and 38th-best player in the class in California according to 247Sports.
Washington's '27 class currently has seven commitments: four-star wide receiver Zerek Sidney, three-star cornerback/athlete Maurice Williams, three-star wide receiver Braylon Pope, three star linebackers Ethan Coach, Justin Coach and Titus Osterman and three-star defensive lineman Matamatagi Uiagalelei.
That group of seven commits has the '27 class ranked ninth in the country. The eight teams ranked ahead of UW are, in order: Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Louisville, Nebraska, Texas and Georgia.
The Huskies pulled off several massive wins on the recruiting trail since head coach Jedd Fisch was hired ahead of the 2024 season. UW inked the 12th-ranked 2026 recruiting class in the country, which was the highest-ranked recruiting class in franchise history.
Several players from the '26 class, including five-star offensive lineman Kodi Greene and four-star wide receiver Jordan Clay, are expected to contribute to the team this upcoming season.
Washington is also among the final teams being considered by several other four-star '27 recruits: quarterback Sione Kaho, edge rusher Zane Rowe, cornerback Josiah Molden and four-star safety Gavin Williams.
The Huskies also have official visits scheduled with Williams, offensive lineman Tye Kennedy and four-star quarterback Blake Roskopf.
UW also has offers out for notable players who are still going through their recruitment, such as four-star quarterback Peter Bourque, who recently decommitted from Michigan.
Washington's '27 class is currently on-pace to exceed the '26 class' overall standing in national rankings.
If the Huskies' '27 class is on-par or exceeds '26, Fisch would have the distinction of inking the two best recruiting classes in program history.
