Tacario Davis and Ephesians Prysock had solid showings in the combine

The Washington Huskies football team has five players representing the program at the NFL Combine, which is currently taking place and will continue through March 2 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Friday was the day for defensive backs to work out, and two of the Huskies' representatives impressed in their respective workouts.

Cornerbacks Tacario Davis and Ephesians Prysock competed in the combine.

Davis had a 40-yard dash time of 4.41 seconds with a 20-yard split of 2.56 seconds. He had a vertical jump of 37 inches and a broad jump of 10 feet, three inches. The 6-foot-4, 194-pound cornerback graded as good-to-great according to Relative Athletic Score.

Numbers were unavailable for Davis for agility drills such as shuttle and three-cone.

Prysock had similar numbers as his former teammate at the combine.

The 6-foot-3, 196-pound cornerback had a 40-yard dash time of 4.45 with a 20-yard split of 2.58. He had a vertical jump of 39 feet and a broad jump of 10-foot-4.

Similar to Davis, Prysock graded to good-to-great RAS scores. The RAS publication drew comparisons from Prysock to Ahkello Witherspoon, who just played his ninth NFL season.

Prysock (9.90, third) and Davis (9.76, sixth) were among the sixth highest-graded cornerbacks at the combine according to RAS.

Davis played with Arizona from 2022-24. While he was with the Wildcats, he was a two-time all-conference selected. He was second-team All-Pac-12 in 2023 and second-team All-Big-12 in '24.

Davis was limited to just seven games in his lone year with Washington last season due to injuries. He had 19 total tackles (16 solo), two interceptions and five passes defended. Davis had an overall grade of 67.2 last season according to Pro Football Focus.

Prysock played in all 13 games for the Huskies. He had 48 total tackles (29 solo), one interception and eight passes defended. Prysock had a grade of 77.1 according to Pro Football Focus.

This upcoming NFL Draft could end up one of the best for Washington since it had several players, such as quarterback Michael Penix Jr. and wide receiver Rome Odunze, selected in the first two rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Wide receiver Denzel Boston, who will take part in the combine Saturday, is projected to be a first-round selection. Running back Jonah Coleman and offensive lineman Carver Willis will also participate in the combine.

Davis and Prysock are both projected to be selected in the earlier rounds of Day 3 of the draft but their performances at the combine could have them rising on several boards.
