The Washington Huskies football team has been slowly rebuilding the program since the hiring of head coach Jedd Fisch.
The Huskies finished 6-7 in their first year under Fisch and improved to 9-4 last year, capped off with a 38-10 win against the Boise State Broncos in the Los Angeles Bowl.
Washington capped off its nine-win season this past season by inking arguably the greatest recruiting class in franchise history.
After signing day, the Huskies' recruiting class ranked 12th according to the 247Sports composite. It's the highest-ranked UW recruiting class since the star system was introduced.
Washington's class boasts one five-star, 10 four-stars and 14 three-stars. Several of those players, including five-star offensive lineman Kodi Greene, four-star running back Brian Bonner and four-star wide receiver Jordan Clay are expected to contribute to the team as true freshmen in 2026.
The Huskies are hard at-work to make their 2027 recruiting class as highly-touted as the '26 class.
According to a post on his official account on "X," Washington has offered four-star '27 offensive lineman Oluwasemilore Olubobola.
Olubobola currently attends St. Peter's Prep in Jersey City, N.J. He's listed at 6-foot-7, 275 pounds according to his "X" account. He's currently ranked as the 69th-best recruit in his class, the seventh-best offensive tackle in the country and the second-best player in New Jersey according to 247Sports.
Olubobola currently has offers from several Power Four programs, including Auburn, Florida, Duke, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Texas, Oregon and others. Based on the amount of teams in the running for the offensive lineman, the Huskies will have to win out against a lot of other notable and well-funded programs.
According to 247Sports, Washington has two confirmed commitments: three-star wide receiver from Sumner, Wash., Braylon Pope and three-star athlete Maurice Williams out of Graham, Wash.
The Huskies have a plethora of offers out for several other notable prospects. According to 247Sports, UW has offered 14 quarterbacks, 13 running backs, 31 wide receivers, 13 tight ends, 11 offensive tackles, 11 offensive linemen, 10 edge-rushers, 19 defensive linemen, 13 linebackers, 17 cornerbacks, eight safeties and 18 athletes.
Among the most notable offers Washington has out are for four-star Washington native quarterback Sione Kaho, four-star wide receiver Eric McFarland III, four-star tight end Brock Williams, four-star offensive tackle Kennedy Brown and five-star cornerback John Meredith III.
Meredith is ranked as the No. 1 player and cornerback in the country, according to 247Sports.
