Tristan Devers, who most recently competed for the Brisbane Bullets of Australia's National Basketball League, will be joining the Huskies next season.
The Washington Huskies men's basketball team has found a large amount of success on the recruiting trail internationally over the last two seasons.
Last year, the Huskies struck gold with All-Big Ten and Big Ten All-Freshman forward Hannes Steinbach (Germany), who recently wrapped up his participation in the 2026 NBA Draft Combine. He'll look to hear his name called in the first round of the NBA Draft, which takes place from June 23-24.
Steinbach averaged 18.5 points on 57.7% shooting across 30 games (all start) in addition to 11.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals per game in his lone year of college ball. His rebounds-per-game mark led the nation.
Washington also landed forward Nikola Dzepina (Serbia). Dzepina joined the team late in the winter quarter and played just 14 games for the team. He's returning to the Huskies for the 2026-27 season and is expected to play a major role on the team.
Washington head coach Danny Sprinkle and the rest of the coaching staff has been hard at-work this offseason trying to fill the final spots on the roster for next season. And it looks like Sprinkle and the rest of the staff have dived back into international waters to do just that.
Sprinkle and UW landed a commit from 6-foot-9, 21-year-old Brazilian power forward Wini Braga, although he still appears uncertain whether he'll join the team stateside or return to professional ball in Brazil.
Braga's commitment gave the Huskies 12 players on the roster. NCAA teams are allotted a maximum of 15 roster spots.
Washington increased that number to 13 with its latest commitment, who also is an international recruit.
Per a report on "X" from Draft Express, 6-foot-4, 20-year-old Australian guard Tristan Devers has committed to the Huskies and will join the team next season.
Devers competed for the Brisbane Bullets of Australia's National Basketball League (NBL), which boasts notable alumni such as Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball and Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey.
In 16 minutes per game across 29 contests for the Bullets, Devers averaged 4.9 points on 41% shooting from the field. He also averaged 1.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.
Devers' addition to the roster gives the Huskies a true backup point guard/secondary ball-handler behind transfer portal acquisition Ryan Beasley (San Francisco).
Washington added Beasley to run the offense after losing guards Zoom Diallo (Kentucky), JJ Mandaquit (Arizona) and Courtland Muldrew to the portal.
