The Huskies could continue to add to their impressive early 2027 recruiting class in the coming months

The Washington Huskies football team will spent the next several months prepping for the 2026 football season and a possible preseason top 25 ranking that could come with it.

At the same time, the Huskies will be looking to take on the home stretch of the 2027 recruiting cycle.

Washington currently has 10 commitments in the class of '27, which ranks fifth in the country according to 247Sports. And the Dawgs are far from finished trying to add to their '27 ranks.

According to a report from Greg Biggins of On3 Sports, three-star cornerback Kamil Loud has an official visit scheduled with the Huskies on May 29.

Loud's trip to the Pacific Northwest will coincide with a visit tour for the Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) defensive back. He has official visits lined up with Arizona State on June 5 and Utah on June 12, respectively.

The 6-foot, 170-pound corner had 18 tackles and three pass breakups his junior year. Loud's father, Kamil Loud Sr., had a five-year professional career with the NFL and Canadian Football League (CFL) from 1998-2002.

The elder Loud played with the Buffalo Bills, Atlanta Falcons, Pittsburgh Steelers and Calgary Stampeders. He won a Grey Cup (CFL version of the Super Bowl) with the Stampeders in '01.

Loud recently visited and received a scholarship offer from Cal — a university who's game he's attended since he was a childhood.

Washington could have an upward climb to try and land the three-star cornerback, who has more familiarity with the aforementioned programs than he does UW.

"I went to games last year at ASU and Utah but haven’t been to Washington yet," Loud said in Biggins' story. "I’m going to try and visit UW for spring practice before my official visit though. I’m also setting up a visit to Florida State but want to keep a few other visits open for schools who might come in later this spring. ... (Washington defensive backs coach John Richardson) is my lead recruiter from Washington and we have a great relationship."

Loud has an 88 overall grade according to 247Sports. He's ranked as the 58th best cornerback in the class and the fourth-best player in Nevada according to the outlet. He's the 472nd best player nationally in the '27 graduating class according to the 247Sports Composite.

In addition to the aforementioned schools, Loud also has offers on the table from Arkansas, Michigan State, Boise State, BYU and Boston College, among others.
