The 49ers defeated the Carolina Panthers 20-9 on Monday Night Football. Former Panther Christian McCaffery led the charge with 89 rushing yards, 53 passing yards and one touchdown. On a night full of emotion from both sides, it was the Niners that were able to come out victorious despite some mediocre quarterback play on both sides. 

Brock Purdy looked a bit rusty as he committed three interceptions that would help keep the pesky Panthers in the game. If it weren’t for a great all-around performance from McCaffery and a solid showing from the defense, the 49ers could have been upset by a Panthers team that had been playing with confidence.
