49ers have the league on notice

It is definitely not a fluke. The San Francisco 49ers are a legitimate Super Bowl contender. Brock Purdy led the Niners to a win over the reigning champion Seahawks on Sunday, making a statement to the division. The win wasn’t pretty, but rarely will a divisional matchup be. Wins can be difficult to come by in the NFL, so being able to grit out the ugly wins shows a level of hard-nosed football that is required to win games come January and February. Can the 49ers continue their hot streak? Only time will tell.Oct 12, 2026

Can Brock Purdy continue his MVP-caliber start?

It’s only been four weeks, but 49ers’ quarterback Brock Purdy is playing at an MVP-caliber level. He has carried his team to a perfect 4-0 record despite the countless injuries that have plagued San Francisco. Granted, Purdy won’t be alone in the MVP race. Players like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes will likely be in the mix as well. But given the circumstances surrounding the 49ers, it is easy to see a path for Purdy winning the trophy. If Purdy can lead the 49ers to a pivotal win on Sunday against the Seahawks, the case would only grow stronger.Oct 10, 2026

Add Kyle Juszczyk to the list of injured 49ers

With as many injuries as the 49ers have incurred thus far this season, it is incredible that they have looked as good as they have. Well, add yet another name to that list of injuries. Star fullback Kyle Juszczyk suffered a knee injury on Sunday. Luckily for him and San Francisco, ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Juszczyk suffered a knee sprain and a bone bruise, allowing 49ers fans to breathe a sigh of relief.Oct 6, 2026

NFL punishes Jed York

The San Francisco 49ers’ principal owner Jed York was punished on Friday by Roger Goodell and the NFL. The punishment comes after York was arrested during the offseason for getting caught up in a prostitution sting. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the punishment includes a six-game suspension and a $500,000 fine. Ian Rapoport adds that York has spent the first three weeks of the season away from the team, allowing that time to count towards the suspension.Oct 3, 2026

Mike Evans day-to-day with rib strain

Maybe it is the electrical substation. Maybe it is just bad luck. But injuries have plagued the 49ers the first three weeks of the season. Despite the 3-0 start, fans should be worried about the health of the roster. But it sounds like the 49ers have dodged a bullet when it comes to Mike Evans. According to Ian Rapoport of ESPN, the injury Evans sustained on Sunday was not as bad as it appeared. They are calling it a rib strain and Evans will be day-to-day moving forward.Sep 28, 2026

Are the 49ers able to rely on Nick Bosa?

The 49ers now face a long-term absence for their star Nick Bosa. Tell me if you’ve heard that before. Injuries have become the norm for San Francisco, but it is beginning to feel as if it is impossible to rely on Bosa when they need him most. Just when you think that Bosa has gotten past his previous injury woes, news tends to break about a new ailment. The 49ers will again be forced to live life without Bosa. Brock Purdy for MVP?

The 2026 NFL season is still young, but 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is making his case for MVP. Purdy is coming off of yet another victory to push San Francisco to 2-0. A victory over the mediocre Miami Dolphins isn’t what has fans excited. It is that the Niners struck early and never let up. Don’t get me wrong, there is still a lot of football to be played, but if Brock Purdy can keep up his strong play, he will be in the MVP conversation. But if you were to ask Purdy, I’m sure all he would care about is a Lombardi trophy.Sep 21, 2026

The 49ers need to make quick work of the Dolphins

In the NFL there is no such thing as an easy win, but the Miami Dolphins may be the closest thing. With all of the injuries that the 49ers have endured, it would be in their best interest to not overlook their opponent on Sunday. If Brock Purdy and the rest of the Niners can lock in early and build up a big lead, that could mean some extra rest late in the game for the starters. The Dolphins made the Raiders look like an elite team in week one. The 49ers should be able to take care of business on Sunday.Sep 19, 2026

Mike Evans showed 49ers fans what they have been missing

We are only one week into the NFL season, but it was one very exciting week. After hearing from “experts” that the division (and quite possibly the entire league) would run through the Los Angeles Rams, the Niners made easy work of their division rivals. Among the players showing out was newcomer Mike Evans.  While one week won’t determine the Super Bowl, it was exciting to see this 49ers team have an end zone target in Evans. The 49ers showed that they belong in the conversation

The San Francisco 49ers have heard nothing but praise for their division rivals this offseason. But Brock Purdy and the Niners made a statement with the demolition of the Rams.  The Rams came into the season as the heavy Super Bowl favorites, while the 49ers had a tumultuous preseason filled with injury concerns. While one week doesn’t dictate the entire season, fans should feel a sense of redemption. Could they be a contender? We shall see. Should the 49ers trade for Maxx Crosby?

The 49ers take on the Rams in just a few short days, and with all of the attention on their division rivals, the question remains whether they should make a big trade.  The Rams made a massive splash when they traded for Myles Garrett (while also bringing back Aaron Donald). The fear is that the Niners may be falling behind in the race for contention.  One possible solution could be trading for Raiders’ Maxx Crosby. While Crosby is not quite on the same level as Garrett, he would be a nice consolation prize.Sep 7, 2026

Christian McCaffrey will need to lead the 49ers

The 49ers are traveling abroad to begin the season against their NFC West foes and the odds are stacked against them. The Rams have the advantage in many different areas, but the Niners have one thing Los Angeles does not: an elite running back.  Christian McCaffrey is in a league of his own. He continues to be along the top running backs in the NFL and has lead the 49ers to a successful run since coming over from the Panthers. Can the 49ers get healthy for Australia?

The San Francisco 49ers have dealt with their fair share of injuries this preseason and have the challenge of traveling across the globe for their week one matchup against the Rams.  Will the Niners be able to get some of their guys healthy enough to suit up against their division rivals? The 49ers offseason keeps getting weirder

As if San Francisco fans weren’t already tired of all of the storylines heading into the season, reports are that someone was arrested for impersonating a 49ers player. Daejon Love is being accused of defrauding over two dozen women out of more than $1.3 million. After some digging on the person, social media users discovered numerous photos and videos of Love posing as a professional football player. It’s been quite the day for the 49ers

On one hand, fans of the San Francisco 49ers finally got a day where injuries were not at the center of the news. However, they probably were not expecting it to be about their owner’s legal troubles.  According to WKBN, 49ers owner Jed York was arrested on Sunday in East Palestine, Ohio and pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools.  The arrest comes after York “responded to an ad on a prostitution website and arranged a $140 sexual encounter.”Aug 25, 2026

McCaffrey, Kittle react to Nick Chubb’s retirement

A couple of San Francisco 49ers showed on Saturday that the NFL is like a family. Veteran running back Nick Chubb announced his retirement, and Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle showed their respect for the All-Pro and four-time Pro Bowler.  McCaffrey went to social media to say “Congrats, bro. Thanks for all the inspiration.” Kittle added “The game will miss you!” Cheers to a fantastic career, Nick Chubb!Aug 22, 2026

Should we be worried about CMC?

We are still a few weeks away from the regular season, but fans of the 49ers are becoming a bit nervous about the health of their star running back Christian McCaffrey.  McCaffrey has now missed a full week of practice due to a vague term of “tightness”. 49ers keeping an eye on Vita Vea?

The San Francisco 49ers have a talented team already, but reports are that they are trying to get even better. According to Mike Garafolo from NFL Network, the Niners recently “checked in” on the star defender.  Garafolo also mentions that, as of now, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue to tell interested teams that Vea is not available. The defender has made it clear that he would like to be traded to another team after the two sides were unable to come to a contract extension. Aug 15, 2026

George Kittle good to go week 1?

The San Francisco 49ers have received seemingly nothing but bad news when it comes to injuries. However, one little sprinkle of optimism has graced fans’ timeline. According to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports, there is a “high level of confidence” that tight end George Kittle will be ready to play come week one against the Los Angeles Rams.  Zenitz also reports that Kittle’s rehab continues to go well. Deebo could be a major part of the offense

Much of the offseason has been spent talking about newcomer Mike Evans, but Deebo Samuel could be the X factor for the 49ers in 2026. Samuel returns to a San Francisco team that at times had trouble generating offense. The former Commander hopes to come and help the 49ers get over the hump. While he isn’t quite the player he was in his prime, Samuel adds a dynamic offensive weapon to pair with Brock Purdy. Mike Evans can make any big catch down the field, but Deebo Samuel is capable of beating the defense in a multitude of ways. Aug 9, 2026
