According to senior NFL Insider Josina Anderson, 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh is expected to receive interest from at least "two teams" for head coaching vacancies this coming offseason.

After being terminated as head coach of the New York Jets after only five games last season, Saleh has helped to engineer a 49ers defense to 20th overall (335.8 yards/game) who's also eighth in scoring (20.7 points/game).

This is highly significant, seeing as though San Francisco has been without the services of multiple defensive all-pros in lineback Fred Warner and defensive end Nick Bosa.

Saleh is well regarded as a coach in league circles, and is receiving renewed interest after his unceremonious exit from New York last season.

Do you think Saleh will do better if he gets a do-over as the head man of another team? Let us know in the comment section below.
