On Saturday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports revealed that Jauan Jennings was fined $12,172 for his unnecessary roughness penalty he committed against the Panthers when he retaliated following a below-the-belt punch from Tre’Von Moehrig. Moehrig was hit with a suspension for the act. This is not only great news for the 49ers, but this is fair punishment from the league. 

Typically in most cases, the retaliation receives a stricter penalty than the initial act, but it is apparent that the league office recognized the situation at hand. Jennings will now be available for a pivotal matchup on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.
