49ers Assistant Coach Gus Bradley Considered "Strong Candidate" to Replace Saleh at Defensive Coordinator

With defensive coordinator Robert Saleh having departed to become the new head coach of the Tennessee Titans, the San Francisco 49ers have to find now his replacement (this is actually their second time replacing Saleh in the last five years).

A "strong candidate" seems to already be in house according to reports, that being former Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley. 

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, "Coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed senior assistant Gus Bradley is a strong candidate for the job, calling him the 'obvious' choice".

He would inherit a defense ravaged by injuries in 2025. 

Also, Bradley's latest stint as a defensive coordinator came from 2022 to 2024 for the Indianapolis Colts.
