In a partnership with PwC, the Niners' official digital consulting partner, the franchise has wholly overhauled its mobile app. The launch, occurring today, April 9, 2026, serves as a high tech kickoff for the team's historic 80th anniversary celebration.
For starters, fans can check out San Francisco's brand new commemorative 80th anniversary logo in the app before it begins populating across the 49ers' other media sites thereafter. But that is just the beginning of the digital facelift.

The partnership with PwC has introduced several "firsts" for the organization, aimed at bridging the gap between local fans and the global "Niners Network."
- NEW: Available in Spanish – For the first time ever, the 49ers App is available in multiple languages, reflecting the team's massive international reach.
- The “For You” Feed – A personalized content experience. Users can select their favorite players, and the app will tailor a feed of articles, videos, and stories based on those interests.
- The Niners Network – Fans can now find close by events, local fan chapters, and community groups, making it easier to stay connected whether you're in Santa Clara or Sydney.
- Your Fan Profile – A new gamified experience where users can collect exclusive badges for hitting milestones, such as attending games, purchasing rivalry merchandise, or being a consistent app user.
- Seamless Gameday Integration – The ticketing experience has been overhauled. Fans no longer need to log into Ticketmaster every week. The login sessions now last 365 days and feature Face ID integration for instant access to mobile wallets.
