As Brandon Aiyuk’s social media tirades against San Francisco intensify, NFL veteran Jarvis Landry urges inner circles to intervene before the disgruntled receiver sabotages his looming exit.

A new character has debuted on the non-stop soap opera that has become Brandon Aiyuk's current situation with the San Francisco 49ers: former Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints wide receiver Jarvis Landry.

Following Aiyuk's decision to post a second video to his Instagram story in which he verbally attacks the organization that drafted him in the first round in 2020, Landry offered his thoughts on the ongoing drama.

“Man, somebody needs to get that phone from him,” Landry said on the 4th and South podcast. “I feel like somebody needs to get that phone from him, right? There is a mental component that comes into the game, and the game is not just physical. I think for some people we learn it at a young age.”

Aiyuk has taken aim at the Niners several times in recent days. He told the franchise to "stop running from the belt" before expressing his belief that San Francisco was "scared" to release him.

Following those comments, Aiyuk took to social media again, this time calling the Niners "stupid" for paying him $50 million over an eight-month span before voiding his 2027 guarantees, which he believes will pave the way for his departure in 2026.

We, like Aiyuk, are just waiting for when this split may take place.

“If guys that surround him that watch our show, watch us talk daily about football, about life, about faith, I think even the mental side of things, I think they should hear this bro,” Landry said. “And hopefully call this man. Go put your arm around him. Teammates, former teammates, call this guy. And Brandon, if you’re watching the show, please, DM me bro.”

“Reach out,” 4th and South co-host and former Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills running back Leonard Fournette added.

Aiyuk has long been expected to end up with the Washington Commanders whenever his contractual time with San Francisco is over due to his connection with star quarterback Jaden Daniels from their shared time at Arizona State.

The disgruntled receiver has yet to land next to Daniels due to Niners GM John Lynch's desire to receive something in return for the former second-team All-Pro.

It remains to be seen how Aiyuk's continued criticism of San Francisco will affect the timing of his eventual exit from the Bay Area, but a resolution to the saga is expected before final roster cuts are due in August.
