Coordinated multi-state raids ended a months-long manhunt for the gunmen who opened fire on the star defensive lineman during a physical confrontation outside a Mission District nightclub.

San Francisco authorities announced Wednesday that four suspects have been taken into custody following a multi-state law enforcement operation tied to the February shooting of San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Keion White.

The arrests come after a months-long investigation involving more than 250 law enforcement officers and 50 search warrants served across California and Georgia.

The Altercation at Dahlia Nightclub

The incident occurred during the early morning hours of February 9 at Dahlia, a Mission District venue where White was hosting an event following the Super Bowl.

According to San Francisco Police Chief Derrick Lew, a confrontation erupted when a group of men, several brandishing weapons, approached the 49ers player. The encounter escalated into a physical clash before White was shot in the leg. Following surgery, White made a full recovery and has been a key contributor along San Francisco’s defensive line this season, appearing in all five games.

Four Suspects Apprehended Across Two States

Law enforcement agencies executed coordinated no-bail arrest warrants last week, leading to four arrests:

  • Gregory Walker (36, Mountain House, CA): Taken into custody in Los Angeles on Friday, Walker is identified by prosecutors as the alleged shooter. He faces charges of assault with a firearm, discharging a firearm at a person, and multiple counts of firearm possession by a felon. Walker appeared in court Wednesday, where a judge ordered him held without bail pending a formal arraignment on Monday. Defense attorney Jeff Wozniak asserted Walker's innocence, describing him as a union longshoreman and family man.
  • Marquis Davis (38, Atlanta, GA): Arrested at his home in Georgia by Atlanta police. Officers seized an illegal firearm along with substantial quantities of narcotics, including MDMA, methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl.
  • Antoine Washington (36, Stockton, CA): Arrested by San Francisco police and San Joaquin County sheriff's deputies. Authorities recovered a loaded gun, over 120 oxycodone pills, and roughly $7,000 in cash.
  • Curtis Green (35, Irvine, CA): Arrested in Southern California and booked on misdemeanor charges, including brandishing a weapon and carrying a concealed firearm. He was released from custody following his court appearance.

San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins noted that local prosecutors are coordinating with out-of-state and regional jurisdictions to extradite Davis and Washington to San Francisco to face charges.

Public Safety and Community Impact

"We will not tolerate any type of violence in our city, but certainly not gun violence," District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said Wednesday. "We had a great, amazing Super Bowl weekend that ended with this incident. I am just so thankful to the San Francisco police that we are being able to hold those accountable who sadly chose violence on that night."

The incident represents the second time in recent years a 49ers player was shot in the city, following the August 2024 attempted robbery of wide receiver Ricky Pearsall in Union Square. Like White, Pearsall made a full recovery and returned to the field.
