Braxton Jones IR

The Bears have made some roster moves ahead of their Week 4 matchup against the New York Jets. Left tackle Braxton Jones is heading to IR, and the team has elevated edge rusher Marcus Davenport and defensive back Nick McCloud to the active roster.

Bears head coach Ben Johnson announced on Friday that Theo Benedet would start at left tackle vs. the Jets. The question becomes, how long will that last? Ozzy Trapilo has been making steady progress over the last few weeks and should be set to return soon.

As for Davenport, he has familiarity in Dennis Allen's defense. Maybe the former first-round pick can provide some meaningful snaps in his limited opportunities.
