The Chicago Bears just keep on winning under head coach Ben Johnson, improving to 4-2 on the season after a 26-14 win over the New Orleans Saints.
Johnson started the year off 0-2 but has really turned things around and has the team on a four-game winning streak.
The defense picked up right where they left off from the 25-24 win over the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football, forcing a fumble on the Saints' first offensive drive of the game.
Chicago's defense forced New Orleans quarterback Spencer Rattler into throwing three interceptions before the final whistle sounded.
It was also the second game fans have seen Jake Moody handle kicking duties. Cairo Santos was ruled out for the second consecutive week with a right thigh injury. Moody was reliable once again, finishing with 4-of-4 field goals made and 2-of-2 makes on extra points.
Another great sign for Chicago was how well it was able to run the ball after struggling to find a consistent running game earlier in the season. Swift finished with over 100 rushing yards for the second time this season, ending his day with 124 yards on the ground and one touchdown.
Rookie running back Kyle Monangai was a great secondary option when Swift wasn't in the game, going for 81 rushing yards and one score. The Bears took Monangai in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft out of Rutgers.
Caleb Williams didn't have a perfect game under center, throwing an interception towards the end of the first quarter. However, he eventually settled in and made the plays he needed to for Chicago to win the game.
Williams faced Rattler for the first time since they were teammates at Oklahoma in 2021. Rattler lost the starting job to Williams halfway through that season and then transferred to South Carolina.
Williams then followed head coach Lincoln Riley to USC and won the Heisman in 2022.
Chicago's next two games will be against AFC opponents, with away contests against the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals up next. The Ravens and Bengals have struggled this year.
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has been out since Week 4 with a hamstring injury, while Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has not played since Week 2 due to a turf toe injury.
Next Sunday's game against Baltimore will be live at M&T Bank Stadium at noon CT on CBS as the Bears look for a fifth straight win.
