A thrilling victory came at a steep price. Pass rusher Dayo Odeyingbo's season ends abruptly with an Achilles tear, forcing tough decisions before the trade deadline.

After the tough time that the Chicago Bears have had this season in sacking the quarterback, the team lost one of its pass rushers for the year.

Chicago outlasted the Cincinnati Bengals in a 47-42 offensive showdown at Paycor Stadium. The Bears sealed the win after a 58-yard touchdown pass to tight end Colston Loveland with 17 seconds left.

It was a great game to win, but there was a loss as well. Bears' edge rusher Dayo Odeyingbo tore his Achilles in the win and is going to be out for the season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Oedyingbo accounted for one sack, 21 total tackles and two TFLs before suffering the brutal injury. He has played and started in every game for the Bears this season.

He joined the Bears in free agency this offseason after spending his first four years in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts. He recorded 106 total tackles, 21 TFLS and 16.5 sacks during his time in Indianapolis.

Odeyingbo signed a three-year, $48 million contract with Chicago, and is set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2028 if he doesn't re-sign with the Bears.

It's no secret that Chicago hasn't been able to affect quarterbacks the way it wants to in 2025. The Bears only have 17 sacks heading into Week 10, which ranks 20th in the NFL. Montez Sweat leads the team in sacks with four, and Gervon Dexter is close behind him at 3.5.

There is hope for the future of the Bears' pass rush, however. Fans got to see Austin Booker make his 2025 debut and he didn't disappoint. Booker had two total tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and one tackle for loss in Sunday's win.

He played in 17 games last season but started 2025 on the injured reserve after suffering a knee injury in the second preseason game against the Buffalo Bills. Booker accounted for 21 total tackles, 1.5 sacks and three TFLs as a rookie in 2024.

Now that Odeyingbo is done for the year, this puts more pressure on Chicago to potentially trade for a pass rusher before Tuesday's deadline.

Teams have until 3 p.m. CT on Tuesday to make trades known to the NFL office. Will Bears' General Manager Ryan Poles make some moves, or will he stay put and stick to what Chicago already has?

Time will tell as Tuesday's trade deadline gets closer and closer.
