A last-second field goal capped a historic comeback, etching the Bears' names in NFL annals with a dramatic victory over the Vikings.

The Chicago Bears once again did well under pressure, this time it was against an NFC North foe in the Minnesota Vikings.

The Bears were up 16-3 in the third quarter, but the Vikings answered back in the fourth to take a 17-16 lead. Chicago had 50 seconds and went to work, as Devin Duvernay returned the kickoff 56 yards, putting the Bears at the Minnesota 40-yard line.

After three run plays, Cairo Santos nailed the 48-yard field goal for the win. Santos became a part of Bears' history as the franchise's new leader in field goal makes from 50 yards or more.

However, the Bears as a whole were a part of NFL history on Sunday. On a recent edition of "The Pat McAfee Show," it was revealed that Chicago was one of five teams to win on the final play of Week 11, which tied the record for the most in a single day.

The Bears were also among the seven teams on Sunday who had comebacks in the fourth quarter and won, which was the most since 2022.

"Yesterday, we're tying records on how great of a game it was, or games they were," McAfee said. "Five teams won on the final play, that ties the record for the most on a single day in NFL history. Seven teams came back in the fourth quarter to win, that's the most since 2022. That ties them for the most in NFL history."

The Houston Texans, Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers and Bears all hit game-winning field goals in Week 11. The Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers didn't win at the buzzer, but also had fourth quarter comebacks of their own.

This is nothing new for Bears' fans, as people have started to learn that you can't write this team off too soon. Chicago has earned wins in the fourth quarters against the Las Vegas Raiders, Washington Commanders, Cincinnati Bengals, New York Giants and more recently the Vikings.

The Bears are now 7-3 and look ahead to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 12, who just beat the Bengals 34-12 without Aaron Rodgers under center for the second half. Rodgers suffered a wrist injury and isn't expected to play on Sunday.

Chicago has already played the Ravens and Bengals this season and is 1-1 against the AFC North. Chicago will look to make it 2-1 on Sunday versus the Steelers at noon CT on CBS.
