

The Chicago Bears ended the regular season in style, by losing 19-16 at home to the Detroit Lions.
The Bears didn't score a touchdown until the fourth quarter, staring down a 16-0 deficit. Chicago battled back to tie the game at 16 and actually got the ball back with 2:11 left, but wasted its opportunity after punting the ball back to Detroit following an intentional grounding penalty that killed any chance of moving the ball.
The Lions got the ball back and quickly got into field-goal range after a 26-yard pass to Amon-Ra St. Brown. All Detroit had to do was run down the clock and get centered for Jake Bates. Bates delivered the game-winner, but Chicago got help from the Washington Commanders.
Since the Commanders beat the Philadelphia Eagles 24-17, the Bears still clinched the No. 2 seed.
With the No. 2 seed in their possession, the Bears are set to take on the Green Bay Packers for the third time this season. It looks like head coach Ben Johnson will get a chance to beat Green Bay twice in one season after all.
Round 3 is set for Saturday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. CT on Prime Video. The Packers are a 1.5-point favorite, via DraftKings Sportsbook.

The two previous meetings with the Packers came down to the wire for Chicago. In Week 14, the Bears were down 28-21 with 3:32 left at Lambeau Field.
Chicago got inside the red zone and threw an interception, as Green Bay took game one.
The Bears got revenge in Week 16, but needed some late-game heroics. Chicago was down 16-6 in the fourth quarter, and Cairo Santos hit a field goal to make it 16-9 with under two minutes left.
An onside kick bounced the Bears' way, as Chicago got its miracle. The Bears forced overtime with a touchdown pass to Jahdae Walker. Caleb Williams then threw a touchdown pass to D.J. Moore in overtime to secure the 22-16 win.
The NFC playoffs go through the Seattle Seahawks after they clinched the No. 1 seed with a 13-3 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
The Carolina Panthers are playoff-bound after the New Orleans Saints lost 19-17 to the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons' win gave the NFC South title to the Panthers, even though Carolina lost 16-14 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Los Angeles Rams earned the No. 5 seed after beating the Arizona Cardinals 37-20. The rest of the Wild Card slate involves the Rams facing the Panthers, while the 49ers play the Eagles.
Bears' head coach Ben Johnson will get his chance to beat the Packers twice this season after all.
