Typically, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is defended by his offensive line.
Two of Williams' offensive linemen, Drew Dalman and Joe Thuney, were voted to the Pro Bowl. However, he recently had someone else defend him.
The Bears faced the Cleveland Browns last season and beat them 31-3. Myles Garrett inched closer to breaking the single-season sack record, but didn't break it against the Bears.
Garrett eventually did break Michael Strahan's record (22.5), finishing the regular season with 23 sacks.
The Browns' edge rusher appeared on the podcast of Green Bay Packers star Micah Parsons recently. On the episode of "The Edge with Micah Parsons," Garrett trolled Parsons.
Parsons played in 14 games for Green Bay this past season before suffering an ACL tear that ended his year.
Parsons mentioned how tough it was for Williams and the Bears to have fourth-quarter comebacks in the last two meetings with the Packers, especially with the quarterback donning the "Iceman" nickname.
Garrett jokingly insinuated that the Packers didn't want to beat the Bears.
"It was tough," Garrett said. "You could've taken it from him, but I guess you didn't feel like taking him down last year."
Parsons fired back by reminding Garrett that the Packers did beat the Bears in Week 14, 28-21. Garrett had a response for that, too.
"But you didn't get him," Garrett said.
The remaining showdowns with the Bears and Packers were nothing short of must-see tv. In Week 16, Chicago was down by 10 points late in the fourth quarter. The Bears made a field goal to make it 16-9 and needed an onside kick recovery.
The Bears did just that, and Williams and the offense got another chance. Williams tied the game with a touchdown pass to Jahdae Walker and then threw the game-winning touchdown to D.J. Moore in overtime to secure a 22-16 victory.
Then, the storied rivals met in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs. The Bears were down 21-6 entering the fourth quarter and came back to win 31-27.
Ironically, someone who has made his career by sacking quarterbacks would be defending one. Bears fans definitely won't mind, considering Parsons plays for their hated rival. Garrett has made seven Pro Bowls tormenting opposing quarterbacks, but caped up for Williams and the Bears.
Williams and Chicago will have more opportunities to beat Parsons and the Packers themselves in 2026.
