Fourth-quarter comebacks are becoming the norm. Discover how Caleb Williams' heroics ignite winning belief in his Bears teammates.

The Chicago Bears have won six of their last seven games, with the most recent victory over the New York Giants coming by a score of 24-20.

The Bears were down 20-10 early in the fourth quarter after a Younghoe Koo field goal. Caleb Williams then went and scored two touchdowns back-to-back to secure the win.

In the last seven games, Williams has 1,719 passing yards, 10 touchdowns and two interceptions. While his ability to step up in clutch moments has obviously led to some wins, it has also helped the culture of the franchise flourish, as more players are starting to buy in.

Head coach Ben Johnson echoed the effect it has been having on the team lately in the press conference following the Giants' win.

"Yeah, I mean, I feel like that's happened a few times for us now," Johnson said. "You know, the good news about it is our guys are starting to, I shouldn't say starting to, they have this belief that we're going to find a way, you know, in the fourth quarter, provided it's somewhat close, we're going to find a way to come out on top of this thing. It's week in and week out they've proven that. Now, we'd like to take it to the next step as a football team, where we're up by a score or two in the fourth quarter early on, and we can, you know, shut the teams out that way. But that's hopefully next week, you know? We'll take them as they come, but once again, we found a way to win, and that's the most important thing."

Williams has been solid in the clutch at multiple times this season.

There was the drive he led in the 25-24 win over the Las Vegas Raiders that gave the Bears the lead after being down 24-19.

Then a similar situation arose against the Washington Commanders, where he set up the game-winning field goal from Jake Moody, who was activated from the practice squad just hours before kickoff.

The 58-yard touchdown pass to tight end Colston Loveland secured the 47-42 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Then, there was his 17-yard rushing touchdown versus the Giants that capped off a comeback win.

Winning fixes a lot of things in football, but having your players believe in the team when the chips are down is even better.

That belief will be tested on the road in Week 11, as the Bears face the Minnesota Vikings for the second time this season.
