Doubters, prepare to be schooled. Kyle Brandt unveils irrefutable evidence of the Bears' late-game magic, silencing critics with undeniable proof of their winning spirit.
The Chicago Bears pulled off another improbable win on Sunday, taking down the Minnesota Vikings 19-17.
The Bears had a sizable lead in the third quarter, as they were up 16-3. However, much like Week 1's matchup with Minnesota, the Vikings came back and retook the lead.
This time, the Bears were down 17-16 with 50 seconds left. Chicago once again didn't flinch and went to work like many other times this season.
Devin Duvernay returned the ensuing kickoff 56 yards to put Chicago at the Minnesota 40-yard line, and Ben Johnson's Bears went work. They ran the ball three times and put Cairo Santos in position to hit the 48-yard game-winner.
People have continuously doubted the Bears this season and why wouldn't they given the franchise's history with previous teams in these spots before?
Kyle Brandt was done with people trashing the Bears and pulled up some tweets of fans writing off the team too early during Sunday's game on a recent edition of "Good Morning Football."
Brandt called the Bears the "too much time team," and he is absolutely right.
Even though the Bears are 7-3, people still don't believe in them, even some Bears fans. Chicago has consistently proven that you can't give them too much time, or they will win.
Want some proof? Let's go back to the Las Vegas Raiders game.
The Raiders go up 24-19 with 6:45 left. Chicago used up as much time as they could and scored with 1:34 left but couldn't get the two-point conversion to go up 25-24.
Las Vegas gets one more shot and has the go-ahead field goal blocked as the Bears walk out with a win.
The following game against the Washington Commanders came down to the wire too. Washington was up 24-22 and trying to run out the clock. A fumble from Jayden Daniels puts Chicago in position to hit a game-winning field goal.
Jake Moody rises to the occasion and drills it, as Chicago wins 25-24 again.
Then came the Cincinnati Bengals game that probably gave Bears fans a heart attack. The Bears were up 41-27 in the fourth quarter, but the Bengals battled back and made it 42-41 with 54 seconds left.
Caleb Williams and the Bears marched down the field and threw a 58-yard touchdown pass to Colston Loveland like it was nothing.
Even going back to Week 10, this team showed its no-quit mentality. Down 20-10 with under 11 minutes left? Sure, no problem. Let's have Williams turn into Iceman again and score two touchdowns after not scoring since the first quarter.
You want to doubt the Bears in clutch time? Go right ahead. They'll continue to prove you wrong whether you believe in them or not.
