Despite a shoulder injury, DJ Moore delivered a blunt, confident response about his Week 11 availability for the Bears' crucial clash.

Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore has been with the franchise for three seasons now and has never missed a game.

If you want to go back and find the last time he did, it was with the Carolina Panthers in 2020, when he missed two games that season. He missed two games again in 2019 and one during his rookie season in 2018.

Being available in the NFL is an underrated quality, and Moore has done a great job of that. He made an instant impact with Chicago when he first arrived in 2023, recording 1,364 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. Moore is the last 1,000-yard receiver that the Bears have had.

On Thursday's injury report Moore found himself listed with a shoulder injury. He didn't practice on Wednesday and was a limited participant on Thursday. However, when asked about whether he would or not against the Minnesota Vikings, he kept his answer short and sweet.

    "Duh," Moore said.

Adam Hoge (@AdamHoge) on X Adam Hoge (@AdamHoge) on X DJ Moore when asked if he’ll play Sunday: “Duh.”

Moore is currently second on the team in receiving yards with 403 and one touchdown, behind second-year wideout Rome Odunze (559).

He is a proven receiver, having recorded 1,000-yard seasons three times during his stint with Carolina in 2019, 2020 and 2021. He came close to doing the same last season with the Bears, but fell short and had 966 receiving yards.

Moore's consistency dates back to his college days at Maryland. He had 1,033 receiving yards and 80 receptions in his final year with the Terrapins, both of which he led the Big Ten in. He was drafted by the Panthers 24th overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.

His touchdown numbers have not been up to standard this season, but he is still making sure he is on the field, which is a very valuable attribute in this league.

Moore appeared on the injury report with fellow receivers Odunze and Jahdae Walker. Odunze is dealing with an ankle injury, while Walker is suffering from a concussion. Odunze was limited at practice on Thursday, while Walker didn't participate.

Chicago will need all hands-on deck in the receiving room, as the Minnesota Vikings have a stingy pass defense, allowing 209.7 yards per game, which ranks 23rd in the NFL.

In the first meeting with Minnesota, Moore recorded 68 receiving yards. However, the Bears didn't fare very well, losing 27-24 in Week 1.

Chicago has a chance to avenge the loss and pick its first win against Minnesota of the Caleb Williams era. Williams has never beaten Minnesota and is 0-3.
