The stage is set for what should be a very exciting chapter of the rivalry between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers.
After two heart-stopping finishes in the previous meetings in 2025, Chicago and Green Bay are meeting one last time this season. This time, it'll be in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.
The football gods know how important this game is to both sides, and it looks like fans will be gifted with some snow in the Chicago area, making Soldier Field a wintery backdrop.
One last injury report came out before Saturday's game, and it was full of names.
Nickel corner C.J. Gardner-Johnson (concussion), linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga (concussion) and defensive lineman Joe Tryon-Shoyinka couldn't clear concussion protocol in time and are out.
Fans have been waiting anxiously for some good news on Kyler Gordon (groin) and Rome Odunze (foot). Gordon was recently designated for return from the injured reserve after his recent groin injury.
Odunze has been out since Week 13 with a foot injury.
Gordon was listed as questionable, along with offensive tackle Braxton Jones (knee).
The Bears could really use Gordon back in the secondary after the rough performances that Jaylon Johnson, Nahshon Wright and Gardner-Johnson all had against the Detroit Lions. Johnson and Wright finished with a PFF grade in the 50s, while Gardner-Johnson had a 28.2
Gordon went to the IR after suffering a groin injury in pregame warmups ahead of the Packers game in Week 14. He's played in three games with one start for Chicago due to all the injuries this season.
Caleb Williams hinted that Odunze could be back soon, and it sounds like he was right. Odunze didn't carry an injury designation and is good to go for the first time since that 24-15 win over the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this season.
Defensive lineman Grady Jarrett (NIR), defensive back Jaylon Jones (ankle), defensive back Nick McCloud (illness), D.J. Moore (knee), left tackle Ozzy Trapilo (quad) and receiver Jahdae Walker (illness) also didn't have injury designations.
Trapilo gave fans an injury scare, but luckily, Jones was available in case he couldn't play. Jones started the year at tackle but was eventually benched for Theo Benedet. Benedet suffered an injury ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers game, and Trapilo came in and won the job at left tackle.
It all comes down to Saturday night at Soldier Field, as the Bears hope to send the Packers home. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. CT on Prime Video or Fox 32 for local viewers.
