The Chicago Bears learned that it's never easy to win in the NFL on Sunday, beating the then 2-7 New York Giants 24-20 on a go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
Quarterback Caleb Williams locked in and led the team on back-to-back scoring drives after they were down 20-10 after a Younghoe Koo field goal. He threw a touchdown pass to Rome Odunze and then ran in for a 17-yard score after calling his own number.
Williams ended with 220 passing yards, 63 rushing yards and two total touchdowns in the win. He even earned himself a new nickname from one of his teammates that has caught on quickly.
A social media post was made of Williams crossing the goal line on his rushing touchdown, and receiver Luther Burden III commented on it, calling the quarterback "Iceman" as a nod to Val Kilmer's character in the movie "Top Gun."
Williams responded to the comment with an emoji of a snowman, so it looks like he approves.

They are calling Caleb Williams iceman and that's gotta be a top nickname for a quarterback
Burden has come into his own this season at various times, recording 51 receiving yards in Sunday's win. His season high was 101 yards in the 31-14 win over the Dallas Cowboys, where he also had his first career touchdown for the Bears.
The nickname Iceman is fitting for Williams, as he has delivered in the clutch many times this season. Most recently, he led game-winning drives in the wins over the Cincinnati Bengals and the Giants. He threw a 58-yard touchdown pass to tight end Colston Loveland with 17 seconds left to secure the win over Cincinnati.
However, his stats when trailing this season are very impressive in general. He has 1,306 total yards, a 72.3% completion rate, 11 total touchdowns and just two interceptions.

CLUTCH 🥶
Plays like the ones Williams is making in the clutch are what you love to see as a Bears fan. It's a part of the reason why this team is 6-3 and competing for the top spot in the NFC North.
With the Green Bay Packers' 10-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football, the Bears are now 6-3 and second in the division, behind the Detroit Lions. The Lions have the tiebreaker over the Bears thanks to the 52-21 beatdown that took place in Week 2.
Chicago desperately needs a win in the division and has a chance to do so against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday at noon CT on Fox.
