It became clear that Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams made the right choice in focusing on football on Friday night.
Williams participated in the NBA Celebrity 3-Point Contest alongside Druski, Richard Jefferson, Jared McCain, internet personality PlagueBoyMax, and BMX athlete Nigel Sylvester and internet personality Cam Wilder.
The contest was simple: shoot three-pointers at various positions alongside the outside of the paint. For the Chicago Bulls, only Matas Buzelis and Mac McClung made the NBA's All-Star Weekend.
The tally was Druski with five, Jefferson and Sylvester with seven and PlagueBoyMax with nine at the time of Williams' attempt.
Even though there were many Bears fans in the chat cheering him on, Williams finished last in the contest with four points. PlagueBoyMax won the contest with nine points.
Williams was a multi-sport athlete in high school, playing football and baseball. However, it was obvious that he didn't play basketball.
Luckily for Williams, Bears fans had his back.
One fan said, "That's my QB, thankfully not my PG."
Another joked that if it were the fourth quarter, maybe Williams would have shot the ball better, referencing the many late-game comebacks that the Bears had in 2025.
"They should have put up 4 quarter instead of a shot clock," they said.
The Bears' season ended with a 20-17 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round. Instead of the Bears, the Seattle Seahawks represented the NFC in the Super Bowl. The Seahawks beat the Rams 31-27 in the NFC Championship to reach the Super Bowl.
The Seahawks faced the New England Patriots in the big game for the first time since that questionable decision not to run the ball in the Super Bowl in 2015, which cost Seattle.
This time, they didn't need a last-minute play, as the Seahawks won 29-13.
The 2025 season has now officially come to a close. Teams are starting to think about next season, and Bears fans can hardly wait for what year two of the Ben Johnson era will bring.
After Williams broke a record in 2025, the sky is the limit for him. Fans agree with that statement, as Williams was the most bet-on player to win the 2026 MVP Award heading into next season. Williams' opening odds were set at +1500 as of Wednesday.
It definitely won't be easy with how unforgivable the NFL is, but this Bears team has proven people wrong before.
