While the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers are rivals, they have a couple of players who are not as different as one would think from each other when it comes to their production in 2025.
The Packers trade for Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys this offseason after he spent the last four seasons there. Parsons was sent to Green Bay for a 2026 and 2027 first-round pick as well as defensive tackle Kenny Clark.
Sweat is in his third season in Chicago after being traded from the Washington Commanders for a 2024 second-round pick.
A recent social media post showed just how close the stats of Sweat and Parsons are in 2025. Sweat has 22 solo tackles, 6.5 sacks, eight TFLs and two forced fumbles. Parsons has 11 solo tackles, 5.5 sacks and seven TFLs.

Both players signed massive contracts with their new teams via Spotrac. Sweat is in the third year of a four-year, $98 million contract with Chicago. Parsons signed a four-year $186 million contract this offseason with the Packers.
You wouldn't think that their stats would be so close together, considering that Parsons is being paid more than Sweat.
Regardless of Sweat's solid numbers, the Bears are still struggling to rush the passer. Chicago ranks 18th in the NFL with 21, while Green Bay is 13th with 22 so far.
Parsons recorded 256 total tackles, 52.5 sacks and 63 TFLs from his time with the Cowboys. Sweat accounted for 197 total tackles, 35.5 sacks and 47 TFLs with Washington. He has 87 total tackles, 17 sacks and 21 TFLs since joining the Bears in 2023.
One thing Sweat doesn't have as much of when compared to Parsons is Pro Bowls. Sweat was voted to the Pro Bowl in 2023, whereas Parsons has never missed one in his NFL career. It looks like Parsons may be on pace to make another in 2025, but it'll be interesting to see if Sweat does if he has a similar stat line when it's all said and done.
While Parsons is no doubt one of the best at what he does in the NFL, Sweat isn't too far behind and deserves more credit than he's getting.
This is especially true since Sweat has never missed a game in his NFL career. Finding a consistent pass rusher in the NFL is tough, but it looks like the Bears have found one in Sweat.
