Even Bears head coach Ben Johnson can't pinpoint one favorite Caleb Williams throw, highlighting three stunning, game-changing moments showcasing his arm talent.

Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson knows he has an incredibly talented quarterback at his disposal in Caleb Williams.

There were plenty of big moments from the 2025 season where Williams really showed off the kind of arm talent that he has. You can look back at the Cincinnati Bengals game, where he found Colston Loveland for that touchdown late in the fourth quarter, as one moment that stands out.

The Bears were able to stay in games because of the throws Williams made in the biggest moments. Johnson was at a crossroads recently, as he had the tough task of picking his favorite throw of the 2025 season from Williams.

He had a hard time picking just one, but three came to mind for the head coach.

He stated that the overtime throw to D.J. Moore in Week 16 against the Green Bay Packers, then the 4th-and-8 throw to Rome Odunze versus their hated rivals in the Wild Card, and the touchdown pass to Cole Kmet in the Los Angeles Rams game in the Divisional Round.

"I think there's three of them that come to mind," Johnson said. "It's the last regular-season Green Bay game, where he throws it in overtime to D.J. [Moore]. I think that was an outstanding throw. There was the 4th and 8 the third time against Green Bay, where he's rolling to his left, and he's doing the Air Jordan as he's throwing that thing for the first down to Rome [Odunze]. And then of course the Rams game there at the end. To get that ball off to Cole Kmet and to score a touchdown and keep us in that thing. He does some things just as a coach, you just go 'wow.' I'm very blessed to be able to coach him."

All of these throws had some major significance for the Bears.

The first one to Moore helped the Bears get back into first place in the NFC North. The Bears had a shot to really distance themselves from the Packers in Week 14, but fell just short.

With the NFC North on the line, Williams delivered a strike to Moore for the 22-16 win over the Packers.

Williams performed with the game on the line multiple times throughout the 2025 season, but a case can be made that few were more important than that throw he had on 4th-and-8 to Rome Odunze

The Bears were down 21-3 in that game and needed a play from Williams. Chicago was down 27-16. Without that throw, the Bears' 31-27 comeback win never would've happened. The accuracy and ability to create on the run were on full display from Williams here.

Last but not least, the throw Williams made against the Rams was also important. Even though the Bears didn't end up winning that game, this was arguably the most impressive play he made in the 2025 season.

The Bears needed a touchdown to force overtime, and Williams made the play to save the season. With not one, but three pass rushers bearing down on him, Williams threaded a ball to Kmet in the end zone to keep the game alive.

It says something about how good your quarterback is when not even your head coach can name his favorite throw from the 2025 season. This just further proves that Williams is just scratching the surface and more is yet to come from the Bears' quarterback in 2026.

Johnson is lucky to have a player like Williams for his offense.
