Colston Loveland's playoff heroics and consistent dominance confirm his top-ten draft status, proving he's the Bears' undisputed offensive force.

Chicago Bears tight end Colston Loveland continues to prove time and time again that he was worth taking at 10th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft.

When the Bears needed him to step up the most, he delivered on Saturday night against the Green Bay Packers. It's clear that he's already won over his teammates, and it's no wonder, given how he played in the 31-27 win over the Packers

Much like the other two meetings this season, the Bears were down multiple scores early. Chicago went into halftime down 21-3 after a frustrating first half of play.

The Bears added six more points to their score after a pair of field goals from Cairo Santos. Chicago made it a one-score game with a rushing touchdown from D'Andre Swift. The Packers weren't ready to give up just yet, as they scored a touchdown on the following drive to make it 27-16.

However, Brandon McManus missed the extra point, which proved costly. Chicago scored touchdowns on its two final drives of the game to win 31-27 and advance to the next round of the playoffs.

Loveland was locked in during the game. He led the team with eight receptions for 137 receiving yards. He finished with the second-most receiving yards in a playoff game in franchise history, sitting behind Allen Robinson (143).

In the post-game presser, Williams was asked about his bond with the rookie tight end and how it's grown throughout the season. He reminisced on draft night and remembered people wondering why the Bears drafted Loveland so high.

All Williams had to say was "It's Colston Loveland," referring to the kind of hard worker the rookie is.

"It's Colston Loveland, you know, I mean?" Williams said. "That's who he is. He's one of the hardest workers on this team. He's there late, he's there early. His body language when he's on the field. All of that is, you know. I'm excited for what's to come in the future, for our trust, our bond, you know, seeing different route concepts, and you know, being able to see different defenses, and you know, just honestly be on the same page 99% of the time."

Saturday night wasn't the first time that Loveland has had a performance like this.

It's the second time he's finished with 100 receiving yards in a game. The last time was in the 47-42 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, where he had the go-ahead score with under a minute left to give the Bears the lead.

Loveland ended that monster of a game with 118 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He's had plenty of recent success as well, going for 94 and 91 receiving yards in the final two games of the regular season.

Kevin Byard shared that the rookie has earned the nickname "3rd-and-Colston" for his ability to be open on third downs. Fans are starting to see how Loveland earned the nickname as the season progresses and into the playoffs.

The Bears will now have to wait and see what happens in the final Wild Card game, as a Philadelphia Eagles win means a rematch with the defending Super Bowl champs, while a San Francisco 49ers win means Chicago takes on the Los Angeles Rams.

One thing is clear. It's Colston Loveland's world, and we're just living in it.
