The Chicago Bears' schedule has been a topic of discussion this season.
The Bears are 9-3 but have beaten only two teams with winning records in 2025, raising skepticism about whether Chicago is as good as its record suggests.
The Bears have now won against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles in their last two games, both of which have winning records.
Chicago safety Kevin Byard made another outstanding play in Friday's win, recording his sixth interception of the year, a stat that he leads the NFL in.
After taking down the Eagles on the road 24-15, Byard was asked about how the Bears have blocked out the noise this season. He stated that the team is focused solely on doing what they can to win, no matter who they face.
"I mean, we've talked about this all year, man, just being resilient," Byard said. "We don't really care about what the national narrative is about this team, we just go out there. Whoever they put in front of us, we line them up, and we try to knock them down, and I think we're doing a really good job of that."
Byard has been with the Bears since 2024, after spending 2023 with the Eagles. Before that, he spent the majority of his career with the Tennessee Titans from 2016-2023.
After Friday's game, he now has 65 total tackles, six interceptions and four TFLs. He has become one of their leaders for the Bears, bringing some great veteran experience to the franchise.
It's getting harder and harder to deny that the Bears are a good team. With wins over the Steelers and Eagles now, Chicago will have to keep grinding.
The last five regular-season games for the Bears include two against the Green Bay Packers and one against the Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, and San Francisco 49ers.
With the win, Chicago now has the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoff race. The Bears are also the top team in the NFC North, but the Packers will have something to say about that on Sunday.
Green Bay is sitting at 8-3-1 and would love nothing more than to dethrone Chicago at Lambeau Field in Week 14. It will be the first meeting of the hated rivals this season, but the importance of the game for both couldn't be stressed enough.
Kickoff will be at 3:25 p.m. CT on Fox.
