The Chicago Bears could be a great trade destination for Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby.
The edge rusher played in 15 games this season, with 10 sacks, 73 total tackles and 28 TFLs. He made his fifth Pro Bowl in 2025.
There have been rumors about a potential trade with Chicago. Even General Manager Ryan Poles smiled when asked about a trade for Crosby at his end-of-season media availability.
Crosby has also talked about Caleb Williams in the past on the "Let's Go Podcast."
He was particularly impressed with Williams' throw on fourth against the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round.
"He starts running backwards," Crosby said. "I'm like literally yelling out 'No, no, no.' And he made that throw. Literally, it was silent. Like, you couldn't hear a pin drop in there, it was crazy. But that's literally been him all season, it feels like. When it comes down to it, at the end of the game, he's made just so many big-time throws, and it helped them stay in games. So, credit to him."
Crosby saw just he good Williams can be when the Bears and Raiders played each other earlier in Week 4.
"I talked about it earlier in the year when we competed against each other," Crosby said. "He's a hell of a player. He's ultra competitive. You can tell when he's out there, he's trying to will his team to win. When you have a guy like at QB, it permeates throughout the team."
Adding Crosby would definitely help the Bears with their troubles in sacking the quarterback. Even though Montez Sweat finished with 10 sacks this season, the Bears still ranked 22nd in the NFL with 35 sacks.
A mock trade proposed sending Crosby to the Bears for D.J. Moore, a 2026 first-round pick, a fifth-round pick and a 2027 second-round pick.
Moore has one more year remaining on his contract with the Bears. He could be a good trade piece after finishing with 682 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
Plus, the Bears have a solid talent in receiver Luther Burden III. Burden ended his rookie season with 652 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
I think this trade would fix a lot of the problems with the Bears' pass rush. Having Sweat and Crosby on the defensive line sounds like a nightmare scenario for opposing quarterbacks.
Chicago should definitely consider this trade as it enters the 2026 season.
