Rome Odunze dismisses talk of weak opponents, emphasizing that every NFL victory is hard-earned and a testament to the Bears' grind.

The Chicago Bears are 6-3, but are not underestimating the level of difficulty it takes to win in this league.

The Bears recently took down the New York Giants 24-20, but needed some fourth-quarter heroics from quarterback Caleb Williams to do so. Chicago was down 20-10 at the beginning of the fourth quarter, and rallied back with two touchdowns late.

None of the team that the Bears have won against had winning records at the time when they played. There was a narrative surrounding the franchise because of it, but receiver Rome Odunze didn't care about that in a recent interview.

He noted how every win in the NFL is earned, whether it's against lesser competition or not.

"I don't really hear that," Odunze said. "Honestly, I don't even think we've thought about it all. In my opinion, you go win a football game in this league, it was a tough win. I can't hear of any coaches, players, or anybody in the NFL who would say otherwise on that fact. Every win that we get is earned. We gotta go out there and do that week to week, especially if we're in the division."

Marquee Sports Network (@WatchMarquee) on X Marquee Sports Network (@WatchMarquee) on X Rome Odunze was asked about the Bears' wins coming against 'weaker' opponents this season. "You go win a football game in this league, it's a tough win ... Every win that we get is earned."

The three losses that the Bears have are to the Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens. Out of those three teams, the only one with a winning record is Detroit, which is currently ahead of Chicago in the NFC North standings after the 52-21 loss to the Lions in Week 2.

Regardless of the competition this season, Odunze has been consistent, as he leads Chicago with 559 receiving yards and six touchdowns. As a rookie, he had 734 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Odunze and the Bears are preparing to face Minnesota for the second time this season. The Vikings don't have a winning record either, but the game is still very important for the Bears, as they don't have a win against an NFC North opponent this season.

Chicago is now in second place in the division after the Green Bay Packers lost their last game 10-7 to the Philadelphia Eagles and need to capitalize on these kinds of games down the stretch.

The Vikings are 1-3 in their last four games, but like Odunze said, every win is earned and Minnesota should not be taken for granted. The Vikings beat the Bears 27-24 in Week 1.

Chicago and Minnesota kick off at noon CT on Fox.
