The Iceman Cometh: Caleb Williams is Living Up to His Nickname cover image

Witness Caleb Williams orchestrate another stunning comeback, defying pressure and etching his name alongside NFL legends. The Iceman delivers again.

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams picked up the nickname "Iceman" this season after leading the team to multiple comeback wins.

The young quarterback has already shown the ability to be cool and collected under pressure in the game's biggest moments.

Saturday night was no different.

Williams and the Bears were down 16-6 with 5:03 left in the game. The offense got into Cairo Santos' range to make it 16-9, then Chicago had a miracle.

The Bears lined up for an onside kick, and Josh Blackwell recovered it. Williams then threw a touchdown pass to rookie Jahdae Walker several plays later to send the game to overtime.

The Bears went on to win 22-16 in overtime after a 46-yard touchdown pass to D.J. Moore.

After the win, it was revealed that Williams is on the brink of breaking a record set by a very successful former NFL quarterback. With last night's victory, Williams has tied Peyton Manning for the most fourth-quarter comebacks by a quarterback under the age of 25.

Williams now has six in his career, and another would give him the record.

He is only in his second NFL season, but Williams has proven time and time again that he can get the job done in crunch time.

It started in the 25-24 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Williams led the offense down the field to score with 1:34 left. The Raiders then had the game-winning field goal blocked.

Then came the Washington Commanders, with Williams pioneering the drive to put Jake Moody in position for a game-winning field goal.

The Cincinnati Bengals gave the Bears a challenge, but also gave Williams too much time. The Bengals scored to go ahead 42-41 with 54 seconds left. The quarterback found Colston Loveland for a 58-yard touchdown pass with 17 seconds to ice the game.

Williams was at the forefront of the comeback wins against the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings as well.

Having someone at the helm who doesn't fold in the key moments is extremely valuable, and Chicago is very fortunate to have the Iceman at its disposal.

This is the kind of play from your quarterback to win games, especially with how tight the NFC playoff race is. The Bears still must face the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions before the regular season ends.

For now, Chicago holds on to the No. 2 seed in the NFC and top spot in the division, partly thanks to the Iceman himself.
