The NFL Pro Bowl game has concluded, and the four Cincinnati Bengals showed why they all belonged to be there. While there are no official stats for the game, quarterbacks Joe Burrow and Joe Flacco threw their fair share of touchdowns, including to receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.
Chase even had a play as a safety where he snagged a one-handed interception, which he took to the opposing team’s endzone for a touchdown. While the Pro Bowl has strayed away from the league’s absolute best players, it’s still a fun event for players to come together and put on a show for the fans.

Kay Adams from the “Up & Adams” show on Fanduel TV interviewed several of the marquee players featured in the festivities, including the superstar wide receiver duo for Cincinnati. Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson even joined the two for some entertaining banter regarding rumors for Burrow to be moved to the Vikings.
Outside of the normal football conversations, Chase had a special announcement for Adams’ viewers during the interview.
“I’m going to do a podcast called ‘Chasing the 1’,” said Chase. “I’m gonna have Tee [Higgins] starring with me.” Adams proceeded to ask him what the podcast would consist of, to which he responded with, “We’re gonna go [for a] variety of everything, try to get everything we can. Because I know we do fashion, we play sports, of course, that’s easy. But everybody wants to know our hobbies off the field.” Higgins continued off of Chase by saying, “And to show people a different side of us that people don’t get to see every day. All they see [of] us is just us behind our helmets and things like that. So we’ll get to show people what we’re into off the field and things of that nature.”
This is a super fun announcement for Bengals fans who want to get to know their superstars more. Chase and Higgins are following the wave of football players to enter the podcast world like Jason and Travis Kelce on “New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce” and Patrick Surtain II and Terrion Arnold on “Closed on Sundays.”
Sometimes it’s easy to develop a negative connotation of players based on how they appear in media coverage. What many don’t understand is the constant nagging from the media about rumors or just general questions that put the players in an uncomfortable position. A podcast allows for players to show the fans a more playful and lighter side of themselves, especially on a show like this, where the two teammates are also best friends off the field.
The superstar duo is coming off a disappointing year for the team, but not as individuals. In total, the two wide receivers combined for 184 receptions for 2,258 yards with 19 touchdowns. Chase recently talked about the importance of Cincinnati’s management to find help on the defensive side while on “The Pat McAfee Show.”
After missing the playoffs for three years straight, the time is now to build a sufficient roster around the prolific offense. The trio of Burrow with the wide receivers has proven to be one of the most effective in the NFL en route to a Super Bowl appearance in the 2022 season. The NFL Draft is still two and a half months away, so Bengals fans will have to wait to see what general manager Duke Tobin can do to build upon the current core.
