The latest betting odds for the 2026 NFL season are here, and fans might be surprised to see what sportsbooks think of the Buffalo Bills this year.
The new league year has only just begun, and the 2026 NFL Draft hasn't happened yet, but that doesn't mean people aren't looking ahead to what could happen next season.
From Super Bowl contenders to who might surprise some folks, there's a lot of guessing going on right now about the 32 NFL teams. And some of that guessing involves division races.
The Buffalo Bills are coming off a year where they failed to win the AFC East for the first time since 2019. A five-year run atop the division was ended at the hands of the New England Patriots.
Buffalo still managed to make the playoffs as the sixth seed with a 12-5 record. They even went into Jacksonville and won their first road playoff game in over 30 years.
Unfortunately, the season came to an end heartbreakingly—yet again—with an overtime loss to the Denver Broncos.
That loss signaled the start of major changes in Buffalo. Out was Sean McDermott as head coach after nine seasons, with offensive coordinator Joe Brady taking over.
Now, the Bills have a new head coach and a new defensive scheme under coordinator Jim Leonhard. They've also made sweeping changes to the roster, losing players like Tre'Davious White, Matt Milano, Joey Bosa, Taron Johnson, and others.
So, it would be understandable if you weren't that high on Buffalo going into the 2026 season. But you know who remains confident in the Bills? Sportsbooks.
In the latest divisional odds, BetMGM has Buffalo at -155 to win the AFC East. Going over to DraftKings, the odds currently sit at -145.
After that, you have the Patriots at +150 at both sportsbooks, with the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins trailing far behind.
At odds ranging from -145 to -155, Buffalo currently has the best odds out of every team in the league to win their division. The next closest are the Baltimore Ravens at -130 to -140, depending on where you look.
To see Buffalo at those numbers to retake the AFC East after one season might come as a surprise, especially to Patriots fans. The Patriots won 14 games in 2025 and found themselves in the Super Bowl. Not being favored to repeat as AFC East champions could sit with them the wrong way.
But, as it seems, the books trust Josh Allen at quarterback more than Drake Maye, and they seem to like what Buffalo has done this offseason with the coaching staff and the roster.
