Before the season gets going, Bleacher Report's Scouting Department put together a mock draft for 2027. Within this, the Bills add defensive star A'Mauri Washington from the Oregon Ducks, bolstering the new-look unit for Buffalo.
"The Buffalo Bills' Deone Walker may be built like a traditional nose tackle, but his game says otherwise. Something similar can be said about Oregon's A'Mauri Washington, though he's more powerful at the point of attack because he plays with better leverage. Washington is more disruptive than a traditional space-eater. Even so, he can be an invaluable addition along Buffalo's new-look defensive front," Bleacher Report's Scouting Department wrote.
Going to the Bills could give Washington a chance to win right away, putting him into a team with a strong culture. Buffalo needs more help along the defensive line, and adding Washington to the mix could help create space for others to thrive.
Washington has been very good for the Ducks, playing his entire career with Oregon. The star defensive player recorded 33 total tackles last season, while also posting 1.5 sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss.
The Oregon star has the size and strength to be dominant at the next level, and the Bills could work with him to get even better. Washington has strong athleticism from this position, and he is an excellent run defender who is expected to thrive at the NFL level.
Many scouts see him as a three-down nose tackle in the NFL, which could bode well for the Bills. Overall, this landing spot seems great for both sides, and it could end up being one of the strongest pairings if it were to come true.
