The Buffalo Bills have added a depth defensive end in Morgan Fox to the practice squad after losing both Landon Jackson and Michael Hoecht in recent weeks.

The Buffalo Bills have gone free agent shopping, this time adding a veteran defensive end to the roster. On Wednesday morning, it was announced that the Bills have signed nine-year veteran Morgan Fox to the practice squad.

The move also comes just days after it was announced that receiver Mecole Hardman was also signing with the team's practice squad.

Fox joins Buffalo after spending the 2025 preseason with the Atlanta Falcons. Prior to that, he spent his first four seasons with the Los Angeles Rams after signing as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado State-Pueble.  After leaving the Rams in 2021, Fox signed with the Carolina Panthers. Following his one year with Carolina, Fox returned to Los Angeles for a three-year run with the Chargers.

"I'm excited to watch him today," head coach Sean McDermott said during his press conference before Wednesday's practice. "It's been a little bit of time since he's play as well, so we've got to take our time with that, but position flexibility; plays hard.

"I'm interested in watching him today as well."

Over the course of his career, Fox has started 34 of the 120 games he played in. In those games he put up 183 total tackles, 27.5 sacks, 33 tackles for loss, and 51 quarterback hits.

Last year, in 17 games, he had 27 tackles and 3.5 sacks.

Where Fox has been the best in his career is his reliability. Since 2017, Fox hasn't missed a game for any reason. For a team with an injury list as long as Santa's naughty and nice list, it's something that will be music to the ears of both the coaching staff and the fans.

Off the field, Fox was a three-time Salute to Service nominee for the Chargers. While in Los Angeles, Fox often hosted soldiers from the Wounded Warriors Project while also support families of fallen soldiers with the Tragedy Assistant Program for Survivors.

It's unclear if Fox will be elevated to play on Sunday against Tampa Bay. With the Bills depth at the position being what it is, however, he could have a could chance to see the field if his first three days of practice with the team go well.
