Buffalo Bills superstar QB Josh Allen announced his playing status for the Philadelphia Eagles game this weekend.
The 2024 NFL MVP told reporters he's planning to play despite dealing with a right foot injury.
"Will be playing," Allen said. "Planning on playing. Feels good. Feels good. Ready to go."
Allen isn't 100%, as he's walking around with a limp, but no NFL player is fully healthy at this time of the season.
"I mean, still sore," Allen said. "Walk-through today, so really not practice in general. So yeah, ... feeling good."
The Bills enter the Eagles game with a stellar record of 11-4. They are in second place in the AFC East and hold the sixth seed in the AFC playoffs.
Allen, who was named to his fourth Pro Bowl on Tuesday, is once again putting up incredible numbers for the Bills. He has 3,406 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 552 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. The future Hall of Famer is completing 69.6% of his passes.
Allen enters the Bills-Eagles game 10th in the NFL in passing yards and fifth in passing touchdowns.
The Bills only have one other quarterback on the team in backup Mitch Trubisky after practice squad quarterback Shane Buechele was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs to their active roster on Monday. As everyone knows, Buffalo is only a Super Bowl contender with Allen under center.
Allen has started 120 consecutive regular-season games and hasn't missed significant time due to injury since his rookie season. He's one of the most durable players in NFL history.
It will be fascinating to see if the Bills beat the Eagles and New York Jets to finish the season 13-4. With Allen leading the way, Buffalo should be favored in both games.
Allen has faced the Eagles twice in his career. He has four passing touchdowns and only one interception but is 0-2.
