Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen broke an NFL record in the 26-7 win over the Steelers.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen passed Cam Newton for the most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in NFL history in the win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Allen now has 76 career rushing touchdowns. The 29-year-old quarterback has put together quite a career with the Bills.

He was the seventh overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft and has continued to ascend every season. Allen is the reigning MVP, having completed 63.6 percent of his passes for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also rushed for 531 yards and 12 touchdowns.

This season, Allen is playing well, as he's completed 69.4 percent of his passes for 2.832 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He has added 409 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground.

"I like that it presents a different challenge for defenses," Allen told ESPN about why he enjoys running. "They have to account for the quarterback run, which means you get an extra blocker in the run game and just makes them have to think about that in the back there. And even if we don't utilize it all that much, it's always the threat of being there that helps, I think, an offense out."

Allen's one of the most physical quarterbacks in the league, and his rushing ability makes him dynamic.

The Bills' offense has been more inconsistent this season, as their wide receiver room has struggled.

In Buffalo's win, Allen completed 15 of 23 passes for 123 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. He added 38 rushing yards on eight carries and the record-breaking touchdown.

Their passing attack struggled mightily, as no player had more than three receptions in the game. Running backs James Cook and Ty Johnson had three receptions along with tight end Dawson Knox. However, wide receiver Keon Coleman had just two receptions for nine yards, and Brandin Cooks led receivers with 13 yards.

Allen is one of the best quarterbacks in the league and is playing well despite the struggles in the receiver room. The Bills will look to win their second straight game next week against Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.
