Josh Allen knows the Buffalo Bills have to be focused.

Buffalo Bills star quarterback Josh Allen has a lot of respect for the Miami Dolphins defense.

Even though the Dolphins defense is off to a terrible start in 2025, Allen knows the Bills have to be focused on Thursday.

"Their front over there is filled with a lot of guys that can get after the quarterback," Allen said. "So, we got to be on our P's and Q's and understand what they're going to try to do to us. They're pretty unpredictable in terms of when and where they're blitzing.

"So, making sure that I'm seeing as much as I can, watching as much film as I can to try to pick up on cues and things."

Miami's defense is last in the NFL in opponent drive scoring percentage, with opponents scoring on 75% of their possessions. The Dolphins are also last in average points per drive given up at 3.69 points allowed per opponent possession.

Allen is 12-2 in his career against the Dolphins. He has a passer rating of 108.8 with 3,737 yards, 37 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 14 games.

"It goes back to the base rules type of thing and throughout training camp we practice so much on our base rules," Allen said. "And really not chasing ghosts when it comes to a game, it's going out there and being a reactionary football player.

"And that's where I feel like I play my best stuff is when I see things and I can react, instead of trying to predict something that happens and it doesn't happen."

Arguably the best quarterback in the NFL, Allen has thrown for 542 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns through two games this season. The Bills are 2-0.

Allen will "probably" wear a clear visor on his helmet to help protect his nose in Week 3 against the Dolphins. The 2024 MVP was hit hard in the nose by Jets defensive tackle Michael Clemons in Week 2 and suffered a a bloody nose.
