Buffalo Bills superstar QB Josh Allen is ranked the NFL's second-best player by FOX Sports.
Allen is one spot ahead of Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs and one spot behind Myles Garrett of the Los Angeles Rams.
"Allen is football’s version of Atlas, putting the world on his shoulders," FOX Sports wrote. "It’s been like that for a while now in Buffalo, with Allen being, by far, the only most notable player on offense — but honestly, on either side of the ball. Defensive tackle Ed Oliver, tackle Dion Dawkins and running back James Cook are really great players. But receiver? Tight end? Cornerback? Edge?
"There really hasn’t been a big and productive name since Stefon Diggs. And Diggs’ departure coincided with the widespread respect for Allen, because people began to see just how much the QB can do for his team. The only thing he hasn’t done, of course, is win a Super Bowl. If he does that, he’ll be the No. 1 guy on this list — and perhaps even for years to come."
The 2024 MVP, Allen finished with 3,668 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 579 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns last season.
However, the Bills lost to the Denver Broncos in the AFC Divisional Round.
A future Hall of Famer, Allen enters this season with 30,102 passing yards, 220 passing touchdowns, 4,721 rushing yards and 79 career rushing touchdowns.
It will be intriguing to see if Allen and the Bills can reach the promised land this season. Time is running out for Allen to win a championship.
After all, he's not getting any younger and there is so much young talent in today's NFL.
The Bills open the 2026 season against the Houston Texans to kick off the Joe Brady era. Brady was promoted from OC to HC after Sean McDermott was fired.
"Still respecting the past and what's been here the last 10 years and not shying away from that, but also having his own twist on it," Allen said after Brady was named HC. "It's been really good to see him embrace the role and step into it. The way that he talks to the guys, you can tell he's very well respected with everybody in that locker room, and it's only going to continue to grow in my opinion."
Will Brady be the guy who helps Allen and the Bills win a Super Bowl?
