The Buffalo Bills got a huge win on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals at home, and once again, they were led by superstar QB Josh Allen.
The 2024 NFL MVP went 22 of 28 through the air for 251 yards and three touchdowns. He also had nine carries for 78 yards and a score.
Allen is the first player in NFL history to throw a passing touchdown and run for a score in 50 games. Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report was so impressed by Allen's performance against the Bengals that the NFL analyst gave the QB the following grade: A.
NFL Next Gen Stats gave the Bengals an 88% chance to win the game when they took a 10-point lead with less than nine minutes remaining. Four snaps later, Allen scrambled 40 yards for a touchdown.
"It comes down to guys executing and making plays," Allen said after the game. "Sometimes, you've got to play bigger for other people. All we had to do was score one more point than they did. Didn't matter how we did it. Didn't matter how good or bad it looked. We've just got to continue to find ways to win football games."
The Bills improved to 9-4 after beating the Bengals. Allen and Co. are in fifth place in the AFC playoff standings.
Allen is once again putting up incredible numbers this season. The future Hall of Famer has 3,083 passing yards, 22 passing touchdowns, 487 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns.
The Bills have four games left in the regular season against the New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets. As long as Allen continues to play well, the sky is the limit for Buffalo.
"You watch today and how it unfolded, it couldn’t have been drawn up any better, right? Snow on the ground. This is what we love right here," Bills head coach Sean McDermott said. "This is Buffalo football."
Is this the season the Bills finally get over the hump and win the Super Bowl? Only time will tell, but one thing is for certain: Allen is a once-in-a-generation QB.
