Bills Kicker Tyler Bass One Field Goal from Franchise History
Oct 30, 2026 4:45 PM

After returning from a season-ending injury, Buffalo's perfect kicker faces Baltimore needing just one strike to surpass Rian Lindell for the longest consecutive field-goal streak in team history.

Tyler Bass has put together a perfect start to the 2026 season, and the Buffalo Bills kicker is now one successful field goal away from claiming a franchise record of his own.

Bass has made all 13 of his field-goal attempts through Buffalo's first six games, including four in the Bills' 33-30 win over the Las Vegas Raiders before the bye week. His next make would give him 19 consecutive successful regular-season field goals, breaking a tie with Rian Lindell for the longest streak in Bills history.

Lindell made 18 straight field goals from October 21 to December 9, 2007, setting the mark Bass has now matched. Bass' current streak dates back to December 22, 2024, making Sunday's matchup against the Baltimore Ravens an opportunity to put his name alone atop the franchise record book.

The milestone comes after a strong opening stretch for Bass, who missed the entire 2025 season due to injury. There were questions about what Buffalo would get from its kicker upon his return, including whether the team should bring in competition, but he's answered them with a perfect record on field-goal attempts so far this season.

Bass has been particularly valuable during the Bills' recent two-game road stretch. He made three field goals in Buffalo's overtime win over the Los Angeles Rams, including the game-winning kick, before converting all four of his attempts against the Raiders. Head coach Joe Brady even awarded Bass a game ball after each victory.

His performance against Las Vegas was especially important in a three-point win, with Bass accounting for 15 points through four field goals and three extra points.

While Bass has been perfect on field goals, his extra-point attempts have been less consistent. On those, he's converted 18 of 20 attempts this season

Still, his field-goal accuracy has been a major positive for a Bills team that enters Week 8 with a 5-1 record. Buffalo will face a Baltimore defense that could make scoring opportunities valuable, and Bass may have a chance to make franchise history if the offense puts him in position.

One successful kick would move Bass past Lindell and give him the Bills' longest consecutive regular-season field-goal streak outright. For a kicker returning from a season-ending injury, it would be another milestone in a strong comeback campaign.

The Bills and Ravens are set to kick off on Sunday, November 1 at 1pm ET on CBS Sports.
