D.J. Moore is the key to the Buffalo Bills' offense.
According to NFL analyst Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report, the Buffalo Bills offense's best- and worst-case scenario in 2026 involves new WR D.J. Moore.
The Bills acquired Moore from the Chicago Bears this offseason. Moore is Josh Allen's new No. 1 WR.
Best-Case Scenario: Buffalo Again Has a Reliable No. 1 Receiver
Worst-Case Scenario: Moore's Regression is Real
For the Bears last season, Moore had 50 receptions for 682 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns. He played in all 17 games, proving once again that he's one of the most reliable players in the NFL.
Moore has played for the Carolina Panthers and Bears. He enters next season with 608 receptions, 8,213 receiving yards and 41 receiving touchdowns in the NFL. Moore and new Bills head coach Joe Brady worked together in Carolina.
Moore and Allen were in the same draft class back in 2018, so the two stars already have a relationship.
"We were in the same draft class," Allen said about Moore. "We spent a little bit of time together actually at the rookie premiere way back in the day. He's a team-first guy. He's obviously very, very talented."
The 2024 MVP, Allen finished with 3,668 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 579 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns last season. The Pro Bowler enters next season with 30,102 passing yards, 220 passing touchdowns, 4,721 rushing yards and 79 career rushing touchdowns.
Buffalo lost to the Denver Broncos in the 2026 playoffs in the Divisional Round on the road. Brady was promoted to head coach, replacing Sean McDermott. It will be intriguing to see how far the Bills go next season in Year 1 of the Brady era. With Allen and Moore leading the way, Buffalo should have an elite offense.
The Bills have yet to reach the Super Bowl in the Allen era. That has to change soon. Otherwise, Allen will never be considered an all-time great.
"The main message we're receiving is 'Put the ball down.' Doesn't matter where, doesn't matter when, we're gonna have the competitive stamina to go four quarters or more with anybody. That's our mindset going into it," Allen said.
Moore is the best WR Allen has had since Stefon Diggs. Let's see how the two co-exist.
