The Buffalo Bills have received a major ranking for the 2026 season.
The Buffalo Bills have been Super Bowl contenders for years, but they haven't been able to get over the hump.
That led to a major change this offseason, as the Bills fired head coach Sean McDermott, promoting offensive coordinator Joe Brady to the position.
Brady then brought in Jim Leonhard to be the new defensive coordinator. Despite all of these changes, Buffalo is still regarded as one of the top teams in the league.
In The Ringer's power rankings, the Bills are ranked the fourth-best team in the NFL behind the Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, and Denver Broncos.
This is a solid landing spot for the Bills, as they only trail teams that were in Championship Games a year ago and are ahead of the reigning AFC Champion New England Patriots.
A lot will rest on the shoulders of superstar quarterback Josh Allen. In the 2025 season, Allen completed 69.3 percent of his passes for 3,668 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. The 30-year-old added 579 yards and 14 touchdowns on 112 attempts.
While Allen has consistently played at an MVP level, they could use more out of the receiver core to make a deep run in the postseason.
David Banks-Imagn ImagesThe Bills made a big addition to the receiver room by sending a second-round pick to the Chicago Bears for DJ Moore.
Moore is coming off the least productive season of his career, as he hauled in 50 receptions for 682 yards and six touchdowns. However, in an offense with a quarterback like Allen, Moore could bounce back and have a 1,000-yard season for the fifth time in his career.
To set up Moore and the passing attack, Buffalo will be leaning on their run game with star James Cook. Cook had a phenomenal season in 2025, rushing for 1,621 yards and 12 touchdowns on 309 attempts. He also hauled in 33 receptions for 291 yards and two touchdowns.
Brady has proven to be a good play caller, but becoming the head coach presents a new challenge. The Bills have a ton of talent, and if Brady can maximize Moore, they could have the pieces to finally win the Super Bowl.
