Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen needs to play better moving forward.

That's now two weeks in a row that Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen hasn't played up to his usual standard.

In Week 4 against the New England Patriots, Allen had 253 passing yards, one passing touchdown and one interception while completing 69.7% of his passes. He ran for one touchdown as well.

For any other QB, this stat line would be solid. However, not for Allen, the 2024 MVP and future Hall of Famer who is universally recognized as the best QB in the NFL.

Allen threw an interception against the Patriots with under two minutes to go while the Bills trailed by three points. The quarterback initially avoided a free rusher by spinning out of the pressure, then heaved the ball into double coverage, which safety Craig Woodson snagged.

The Patriots upset the Bills by a final score of 29-26. It was Buffalo's first loss of the season and Allen received a C- for his performance from Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report.

Allen has 1,039 passing yards, six passing touchdowns, three interceptions, 118 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns on the season. He leads the NFL in rushing touchdowns.

The Bills are 3-1. They are averaging 31.8 points per game in Year 1 of the Joey Brady era. That's first in the NFL.

However, Allen hasn't looked like Superman over his last two games against the Los Angeles Chargers and Patriots. He has three interceptions, two fumbles and just one touchdown pass.

Week 5 is a massive game for the Bills, who face the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football. The Rams are 2-2. Myles Garrett won't play in Week 5 and it's unknown if Aaron Donald will suit up either.

If Allen wants to lead the Bills to a championship for the first time in franchise history, he must take better care of the football. The Pro Bowler has fumbled in all four games this season. Luckily for Allen, only one of his four fumbles was recovered by the other team.

The Bills have made the AFC Championship Game twice with Allen leading the way. Buffalo lost to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs both times. The Chiefs are 4-0 this season, with Mahomes looking like his old self after suffering a major knee injury in 2025.

It will be interesting to see how Allen and Co. bounce back in Week 5 against the Rams after losing to the Patriots at home in Week 4.
