A suggested trade for the Buffalo Bills would send wide receiver Keon Coleman to an AFC opponent.
Since last season, the Buffalo Bills have been viewed as a team to watch in trade talks. One player who was expected to be moved entering the NFL offseason was wide receiver Keon Coleman.
To this point in time, the Bills have held onto Coleman. It's possible that he will remain with the team to start the 2026 season.
Coleman, who was originally drafted by Buffalo with the No. 33 overall pick in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, has not panned out yet. He has shown flashes of the potential that the Bills saw in him, but has had some off-the-field concerns.
Last season, Coleman was a healthy scratch for multiple games. Sean McDermott, the former head coach in Buffalo, made those decisions for punishment purposes due to the young wideout being late to team meetings and other reasons.
Throughout his first two NFL seasons, Coleman has played in 26 games. He has caught 67 passes for 960 yards and eight touchdowns.
Keeping that in mind, ESPN has come up with a trade idea that would see the 23-year-old wide receiver shipped out of town to an AFC opponent. This suggestion would have Coleman ending up with the Baltimore Ravens.
Their trade proposal would have Coleman being sent to the Ravens in exchange for a 2027 fifth-round draft pick.
Giving up on a young wideout going in this third season for a fifth-round pick would be a tough decision to make. Add in the fact that he was a high second-round pick just two years ago and the move would be even more painful to make.
Unfortunately, the reality of the situation is that Coleman has not developed well. He has had a rough relationship with the team over the last year.
Obviously, the Bills did make some changes this offseason. They decided to part ways with McDermott and replaced him with Joe Brady. Perhaps that change will be helpful for Coleman.
Expect to continue hearing rumors and speculation about Coleman moving forward. He remains in Buffalo for now and the team might give him one more chance, but he should still be viewed as a potential trade candidate.
