The Buffalo Bills have been struggling. Since getting off to a 4-0 start, the Bills have gone just 2-3, most recently getting hammered by the Miami Dolphins, of all teams.
Josh Allen has been rather inconsistent this season, and thanks to Buffalo not exactly having a stellar group of weapons, the offense has had some wild swings.
So, what could solve the Bills' problems? And could it be an unlikely source?
Well, the New York Giants just fired one of Allen's good friends in Brian Daboll, Buffalo's former offensive coordinator who played a pivotal role in Allen's development during his early years.
While Bills head coach Sean McDermott says that the team is not considering bringing Daboll back at the moment, Tim Graham of The Athletic is urging Buffalo to make the move.
"Did you know Patriots quarterback Drake Maye overtook Allen in the MVP odds? Maye is second behind Matthew Stafford. Allen has fallen to fifth, one spot ahead of Sam Darnold," Graham wrote. "As snow accumulates around Western New York and our daylight hours dwindle, we know time is running out to get Allen back on track. Daboll’s schedule happens to be wide open."

That is the role of current offensive coordinator Joe Brady, who admitted that he didn't do a good enough job against the Dolphins on Sunday.
But is it possible that Daboll could return in some capacity to help move Allen along? Maybe.
The Bills are running out of time to win a Super Bowl with their current regime. They have made the playoffs six years in a row and have won five straight AFC East division titles, but they have not made a single Super Bowl appearance throughout that span.
In fact, Buffalo has only made it to the AFC Championship Game twice throughout this current stretch, which surely does not sit well with ownership.
Not that general manager Brandon Beane is on the hot seat, but you do have to wonder how much more patience the Bills will have with McDermott.
Taking everything into account, it might not be a bad idea to reunite with Daboll to see if he can re-inject some life into Allen and the offense.
